How do I download photos?

I have a BB Curve 8900 which has a coporate policy on it with enryption permanently on (and a password making the whol;e thing a useless piece of kit to me).

How do I download photos? In Windows Explorer they show as .jpg.rem files and of course are encrypted so no use. BB DTM 5.0.1 doesn't seem to work with my Windows 7 64 bit PC, it just freezers solid (well the roxio bit that is which is what you use I presume?).

In BBDTM 6 nothing shows in pictures, just a message about ensuring mass storage is enabled which it is.

Any suggestions very much appreciated.

I'm not sure there is anything you can do. Try emailing the pictures to an address you can access from the computer. There's a good chance that won't work either, however; seems some people can't attach encrypted files to email. But give it a try.

Only other idea is to talk to your IT about the settings. It is possible to set the BlackBerry to not encrypt media files (but encrypt everything else). Odds are the IT people won't change the policy for you, however.

I can email them but theres like 100 on and it's not practical. My IT department are no help whatsoever.

I don't see any other choice. Do a few every day until you get all of them.

Don't blame IT. They have to follow rules just like everybody else.

For what it's worth, sounds like you need a personal smarthphone that you will keep personal, and use your work device just for work.
