All,

My colleagues keep on mentioning that they are getting Email delivery confirmation from me. When I go to Message Options -> Email Settings, I have the following settings:
Confirm Delivery: NO
Confirm Read: NO
Confirm Read Receipt: NO
Send Read Receipts: NO

Am I missing anything? Based on what I have read in the various threads, the above setting shouldn't have allowed the Delivery Confirmation to be sent... Correct? Why would blackberry still be sending delivery confirmations?

Do you have multiple email accounts?
If so, you will have to make sure all of the accounts are set up the way you list.
I did this once, and when I used one of my little used accounts, delivery confirmation kept being sent.

Yes - tha't correct. It's not intuitive, but those settings must be set for EVERY email account you have.

I am having the same issue, but I only have the one email, and the settings are the same as the OP.

For simplicity sake I did make sure all accounts have the same settings however it still gives me the same problem.

i have investigated this issue too, and i believe this is a read receipt sent by BlackBerry to anyone who sends you an email and there is nothing in the settings which can be done to stop this. the settings to which asimq73 refers will have no effect on this issue. apart from verifying our email addresses to anyone who sends junk mail, it alsos provides potentially commerically sensitive info that you have received an email when you might not want the sender to know. it's really one for BlackBerry to resolve but i don't know how we persuade them.

How about turning off the REQUEST for read receipt on emails sent FROM the BB? I'd like to turn that off too - anyone know how?
