Default Bluetooth GPS receiver and 8700C

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, so perhaps I am jumping the gun here but now with 4.2 and apparent GPS support, I am keen to try a GPS receiver and see how it works with the BB maps application. The Navibe GB735 Bluetooth GPS Receiver found at Navibe GB735 Bluetooth GPS Receiver(SiRF III, WAAS)(Free Arkon Vent Mount) looks interesting and a good price.

Anyone either tried one of these devices with a Blackberry unit. Any comments, issues, advice?

Do you really need to crosspost? Have you read the GPS forum at all?

Rather than say there are many many post, please link one, because there are about a million such posts and a search will either give me way too many or way too few, depending on the keywords I select. I can't find ONE that answers my specific questions:

1) Will an 8700C work with Google maps if I get a GPS puck?
1a) Is there a specific puck that I should look for?
2) Do I need to upgrade my BB OS to 4.2 on the BB?

Thanks!
