1. My notification small pictures thing where it tells you if you have an SMS or e-mail, has a new little image of a circle with an arrow in it, and a red dot in the top right of the circle. Any idea what this notification is and how i remove it?
2. When i call some-one, a new little image appears in the top right of the blue call screen. It is a small rectangular box, with 5 small crosses going from top left to bottom right. Any idea what this little rectangle is?
question 1 refers to the new curve, the second refers to the latest bold if that makes a difference.
1) Sounds like an App World notification. Either App World itself or an Application you have installed has an update.
2) That is the enhanced call audio indicator. You can set it as Bass, Treble, or Normal. While on the phone, Press the Menu Key and go into Enhanced Audio and make the change there. If you don't want it to show at all, go into Call Logs > Options > Enhanced Audio and set it to Disabled.

How do i get rid of that little symbol of the circle with the arrow and the red dot in the upper right of the circle? I have tried updating all my applications, but can't seem to get rid of it...

Look in your Messages folder for it. It should also be in there. Try deleting it from your Messages folder.
