Has anyone been able to run the calculator function with the rim small icons themes on their 7100? If so, what o/s are you using?

the calculator does not work on ANY version. the reason being is that the theme is coded so that it picks the right skin and dimensions within the calculator module (my impression, atleast). since this theme was NOT designed for this handheld or its dimensions, it selects the other, thus causing the calculator to display incorrectly and then crash. the calculator won't work on ANY version that is NOT designed for the 7100 series handhelds.

I hate to be the contrarian, but my calculator works just fine. 7100t, version 4.0.2.32, Default (List) theme. The calculator fills the screen, easy to read, and all of the functions seem to work.

If you use the theme that comes with your BlackBerry, the calculator works fine. If you put another themes on it, it will not work.

The small icon theme was not designed for the 7100 thus it doesn't have the correct bitmaps for that screen size. There could be other issues as well - I wouldn't recommend using it. There are several other themes to choose from that do have the correct bitmaps.

and where did i say that the Default (List) theme would not work? its a 7100 series theme made for a 7100 series handheld, and it works just fine. the poster made the thread about the Default Small Icons theme, which was a theme designed for the 72xx series handheld. The reason why the calculator for that theme does not work on a 7100 series handheld is very simple - IT WASN'T DESIGNED FOR IT!

well, not exactly true. the calculator application is loaded with the same file for both the 7200 and the 7100 - it has both skins in it, however the theme's layout calls the correct skin for the application, along with placement, etc. this is the reason why it crashes, as well as the reason that it won't ever work on a 7100.
