I can 100% confirm that after owning and using every blackberry ever made that call quality and speakerphone are pure crap on the Tour. The people in here that say otherwise are really not that perceptive (sorry). I tried calls from 3 tours in one verizon store and 2 in another and every person i called said the call quality was bad, speakerphone was worse. Dont quite understand rim on this one. The BB bold and BB 8900 and BB curve are all very good. For curiosity i tested the storm and it was also very poor!

Rim! what is going on. Are all new BB going down in quality?

Right now I'm only getting voice service since my data plan is internally borked at Sprint, but my call quality has been superb. Speakerphone is also great for me.

wellll i am sooo excited to say that i just activated my tour about 3 hours ago and not only did the transfer of all my info go prefectly BUT my audio works great as well. mabe they had a bad batch. who knows.... all i can say is that im in love.

It seems like the ppl complaining about call quality are all on VZW and all sprint users are saying its good. maybe its your service and not the phone....

I wonder if its the verizon service that is the issue. I really never knew a Blackberry with poor sound quality. Maybe the sprint service is better or that phone. also does anyone know if the sprint version has faster speeds than verizon?

Perfect quality - best ever and I came from the wonderful 8703e.

I guess I'm just not perceptive enough about sound, despite being a musician my entire life and mixing at least three albums a year. But what do I know?
