I've posted comments on this topic before, but I haven't posted a dedicated thread to request that BB Task users send an email to
requesting that Task Recurrence be repaired. This feature does not work on the 8100 or 8800. I am not sure about other phones. But it is terribly disappointing that a feature included with the phone simply doesn't function, and that there is no fix for it other than opening the Task at its due date and resetting the due date for the next occurrence.
I have been on the phone with RIM tech support; they told me that this is a known issue, but that BB users are not Task users, so this will likely be a low priority fix. Though, he was not able to explicitly tell me just how high or low of a priority this fix is, which I understand. (I should also note that as far as customer service, I'd say RIM' tech support was excellent.) What he was clear on was that it is not something that they are contacted about very often.
