Default T-Mo 8820 anytime soon?

Please Login to Remove!

Have been checking periodically and haven't seen anything on here or any other website for that matter.
Does anyone know or have an idea when the 8820 is going to hit T-Mo? All you saw on any of these forums prior to the ATT 8820 and Tmo Curve was about these phones dropping and now there's no talk of either on the other carriers. Anyhow, I am wanting to buy before Oct 22nd and ideally want to get the 8820 for T-Mo but don't see it happening within the next week. However, would the 8820 be available in time if I bought the Curve and then brought it back for the 8820 within the return period. (Not sure what that time frame is for Tmo).

Any information is great. I read the "Tmo out of 8800" post periodically to see about any updates but have been unsuccessful thus far.

Also, Tmo needs to get their act together. The 8820 New with ATT is $299 and the 8800 with Tmo is $349. Does that make sense?

I doubt it will be available within the 14 day return period. Buy an unlocked one, If tmobile releases the 8820 with UMA support you should be able to install that OS on your unlocked phone then and have it work just as well.

T-Mo's 8800 is almost exclusively a business model. You can only get it now through business chanels. They probably feel they can sell for more to a business than to the general public. AT&T is throwing in a big subsidy to move the 8820. Their focus is on both the individual consumer as well as the business user.

For what it's worth, my rep told us the other day that the 8820 wasn't on her radar yet and that it was likely a Q1 '08 release.
