Default Letter H presses automatically!

Please Login to Remove!

Good god.

My blackberry acts as is if I were pressing the button H at random.

For instance:

I'm on the main menu interface and all of a sudden it shows an H as if I had pressed it.

If I'm typing in my password it types in the letter H.

If I'm writing an email it types in the letter H randomly.

Keep in mind that I'm not even touching the blackberry keyboard pad at times and it's typing H.

I really need help because I have tried to contact blackberry support, but failed miserably. I either couldn't get to the right destination or needed a credit card?

I also went to the Verizon store but the person didn't know what to do so he told me to contact the blackberry's manufacturer.

I tried google: blackberry random letter

Nothing.

Please guise I really need you to tell me what you think. I am also poor and did not buy warranty from the retailer. At this point I'm calling blackberry again to try to decipher their tech support mumbo jumbo directories.

Edit: I'm also looking for the precise model of my blackberry; I'll know soon, because my mom borrowed it to go to her girl meeting.

bead, check your Private Messages.

For your H issue, your BlackBerry has gotten wet, probably a hot steamy shower your mom took, with the BlackBerry left in the bathroom.

Since the H issue has been going on for about a week, does that mean the water is still in there?

What about accidents such as dropping the blackberry; is that a potential cause for my problem?

If the blackberry got wet and not dried quickly could it cause permanent damage?

Edit: my RIM warranty will void if I disassemble my blackberry as suggested in the Wet FAQ.

1. Probably. It can last a long time if not dried out properly.

2. Could be a drop. I doubt it.

3. Yep, you will likely see more of the keyboard screw up.

4. The FAQ says the disassembly is optional, and it is. You don't need to do that.
The 3-5 days set aside in bag of rice or a heat-emitting device is not optional.

Bang!

Thank you JSanders. I will try all listed in the Wet FAQ as soon as I get my blackberry back.

I will keep you posted on my progress.
