Had to wipe my device to troubleshoot a few things earlier....once I was back up my ea password would not let me get past "contacting server"....I can see the etp message in my inbox but it doesnt go anywhere....wouldnt it be ok to just regenerate an encryption key via DM to get me back online since EA isnt cooperating?

You could do that, but you should find out, why BES isn't grabbing your mail. It could be a permissions problem of the BESAdmin, or Outlook rules or a Anti-Spam Gateway that does something funny with the message. See this KB:
