Nevermind the car, it sucks when you have it plugged into your house charger and want to text. The charge port should be on the damn BOTTOM of the phone and it should have been that way since day one!

The USB Implementers Forum, Inc. (USB-IF) licenses the right to use USB technology as well as the USB logo. They simply will not permit any new phones to use mini-USB. This is not a RIM decision whatsoever; RIM, when producing a new model, must use the type of USB port that the USB-IF allows, which will always be whatever is current--microUSB, as of now.
