Default OS: 8310 4.5.0.150/4.5.0.108 (MultiLanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

From Telefonica; This will load on any carrier's 8310 model by following the instructions below.

This version is Multilanguage and contains English.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.150 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.150
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.108
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.89
* File name: 8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel150_PL2.7.0.89_A4.5.0.108_Telefo nica_Mexico.exe
* File size: 76.16MB

Download the OS here (choose the 8310 device and the second OS download option:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...9E92D324F56DE0

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 8310:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

To find previous versions of the OS for this device, click here:

This OS 4.5.0.108 is actually listed twice on the download page, once as:

File name:
  • 8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel150_PL2.7.0.89_A4.5.0.108_Telefo nica_Mexico.exe
  • File name: 8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel150_PL2.7.0.89_A4.5.0.108_Telefo nica_Chile.exe

The download file sizes appear the same, and all the versioning is identical.

Ya really. I'm still in shock that At&t released .110 for the 8320, a device they don't even sell yet.

Installed and working well. It starts me off at 25000000 free memory vs 21000000 or so with 4.5.102.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It does seem to come in waves, though.

Hi:

Thanks JS, this release it's from my carrier.

I think that warnings for "Docs To Go" users should go in the Instructions, IIRC the new OS's always downgrade this software (don't know if this happen in this one, I'm still don't try it)

I just remove the DocsToGo.alx file from the install directory anyway when I perform an OS upgrade.

I would have to agree with you that I've gained a few more Megs of memory with this update.

Guys, I NEED help! I've updated a number of times, and this time, I'm having problems. I got the dreaded App Error 205 screen. So I reinstalled the OS, deleted vendor.xml, and ran loader. I attached the phone, it comes up as fine, but when I go to complete the upgrade..it hangs on connecting to device! I'm in a total panic!! Help please!

My phone hung in the middle of the install with error 507, just wiped it and installed again. It worked.

Buneech, stupid question. But does "wiping" the phone destroy all the data? I don't have it officially backed up. Apparently my impression that it actually keeps the backup it makes when you're upgrading is wrong.
