2) Doesn't work well with Google Maps Mobile

I'm beyond confused and was anxious to switch since I am using v.
4.3.0.127. Version 4.3.0.127 has issues with the media player recognizing
over 1000 songs on the memory card. Supposedly v.4.5 fixes this?!?! Also, I would like to upgrade to a 16GB card. Someone else mentioned a higher release was needed for the 16GB card to be recognized?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks!

First, the VZW version of .77 is the same as any other carrier's version from what I can tell. I have been running 4.5 (multiple versions) for quite some time now and I am pleased with them. To answer your questions specifically:
1. .77 is not unstable. .97 is out on the internet for the 8330 in beta so if you want to run that, go to the Beta You Than Me forum to find out what people are saying. The biggest problem with the 4.5 OS is a "speaker blast" where you phone turns on speaker phone for like 2 seconds when you answer a call. It's kind of annoying, but it is a repeated problem in all 4.5 so far that I have run. Hopefully this will be fixed in the .1xx release whenever that surfaces.
2. I don't use Google Maps Mobile but if it's anything like BB Maps, it should work fine. Since VZW locks down GPS unless you buy VZ Nav, I would say just use BB Maps (or VZ Nav if you have it). This would not be a reason to not upgrade in my opinion.
3. I am not sure what version of DM you need (I am running 4.6). It doesn't take that long to upgrade that software, so again, not a reason to not upgrade. Try the upgrade with 4.5 and if that doesn't work, download 4.6. I am pretty sure that I have upgraded to a 4.5.0.xx release with DM 4.5 at some point. I don't see why this wouldn't work.
4. HTML should load unless you are a BES and the admin doesn't have that feature enabled. Most people that are running this aren't having any problems with NEW HTML mails. Keep in mind, the upgrade will not convert any OLD e-mails already synced to your phone to HTML. You do have to make sure that you have the HTML feature enabled on the phone though.
The media player on the 4.5 is a lot tighter than old one. I don't have more than 1,000 songs on my phone so I can't speak for sure on your problem, but from everything that I have read, the media player was one of the bigger fixes in the 4.5 release. As for the SD card, that's a phone limitation. I don't think that the Curve (any model) will support a 16GB card, but I could be wrong. I know that the new Storm supposedly will support up to 32GB but I don't think that the Curve has the same capabilities.
Hope that this helps.
