Over time - those of you that got a 7100t several months ago and have had it for a while - How has it held up with Daily use for lots of calls and email? I am just very concerned with the build quality and do not want it to break after a few months, only to have t ogo out and sepnd lots of $$$ buying a new BB. I pull it out of the holster lots and every time, it just feels like I am going to crush it when I push the track wheel in.

Am I just being ridiculous and this puppy will hold up like any other BB?

Please provide with me your experiences as it will greatly help.

Myself I find the build quality to be rather poor compared to past/current models. My wife is on her third 7100 with a request for replacement, first was the scroll, second a dead key, now its an issues with the speaker... This time around she's requesting a trusty 7780 for replacent as she had used before at least it work no question dings drops and all...

I got mine the first day of availability last year (Was it the end of august?) Anyway, I've had zero problems physically. That includes taking it on an elephant trek through the jungles of northern Thailand. (Better coverage there than in my home state.)

its definitely was leading edge when it came out. For the most part it worked well, the issue with the reboots is really getting ridiculous.

I've had one since September of last year with no problems. Use it alot. haven't even had reboot problems since the first upgrade of the code that came out late last year.

Mine works great and hold up great. Better reception again anywhere in Thailand than in the USA.

My build quality has been fine after 2 months of use. I use it every day with no hardware build issues (reboots aside). Buttons are still good, and screen looks new.

We got six the first week they came out, and have not had any problems with them or any of the other ones since then. We have around 50 (various flavors of the 7100).

I got mine the day it became available to business clients through our t-mobile rep, and I haven't had any MAJOR problems yet. Its taken quite a few rough falls, and by quite a few I mean at least 10-12. Its still holding on strong, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it a whole year. I have a tendancy to drop phones in the lake in the summer.

I've had my 7100t since the first day of issue and its been a tough one. Its been dropped, fallen out of my car door (when stopped), dropped in a toilet!, and shaken/vibrated like the dickens while driving a tractor bush-hogging 20 acres of 4 ft brush and grass. Its held up very nicely with very light scratches. I really recommend a screen protector.

I knew it was gonna be a real love affair when I was able to respond to an e-mail while sitting high upon my Massey Ferguson tractor seeding a food plot last fall for deer season! The other great moment was last month when I had to quickly decide whether to set the hook on a bass or check the vibration alert in my BB holster. The BB lost out and I reeled in a 5# Largemouth.

Sounds like there are still some bugs in the TMO models.
I've had my Cingular 7100g for a few months and have not encountered one problem as of yet. I've dropped mine a few times and like all my other BB's nothing happened (granted its not something I want to do but...)

I've only owned this just shy of two weeks. My primary uses are the phone (of course, lol), SMS messaging and email! Email would be a favorite, or even a priority, if I knew how to use the SureType and didn't have to write out entire words. I'm spoiled to the text complete that comes with the Pocket PCs. The only problem I have - and this is sort of funny to a diehard PDA user - is that the salesman who sold me the BB said: "You'll find you will hardly use your PDA". I was like, um, ya right. Well, there are DAYS when i don't pick up ANY of my PDAs - with email, web surfing, PIM features and more, this device is absolutely fantastic.

I wish that it could act as a modem for my PDA for email collection or web-surfing when I want that for one of my PDAs.

I wish that SureType would make responding to emails easier.

I wish that I could read ebooks on the phone (I'm a professional reviewer.)

Lastly, I wish that I could get used to the keyboard of the 7100t - I think my typing speed would greatly increase if I could get used to the keyboard. So, I basicallly just read email, do some SMS messaging, and make phone calls, etc. But, the full potential with this phone isn't being reached.

I've had mine since the first day they were available, and have had neither hardware or software problems. Dropped a couple of times, but no damage. Some light scratches in the screen from typical abuse, finally learned my lesson and put a screen protector on it. No software problems, maybe froze up a couple of times when I was screwing with it, forcing me to pull the battery. Was able to upgrade to 4.0 without incident. Overall I have been very impressed with its stability considering that it likely runs 24/7 for months at a time without being turned off.

Works good, IM client locks up once and awhile but all is good including battery life. I just with t-mobile had better signal and bandwith for the internet browser. Any suggestions on speeding it up?

Heck, any suggestions to Defrag or clean the memory?

I've had my 7100t since the first month it was released. I drop it a lot (I wish the holster had a velcro top) and it looks brand new. The battery cover feels flimsy, but it's in a spot where it is never impacted. I've only rebooted twice--both times were for software upgrades. San Francisco area seems to have decent coverage and quick email replies are a piece of cake. I plan to keep this for a long time.

Wow, how does that work with your plan? Do you have ridiculous roaming charges?

Mine has held up great. Dropped once, just a couple of scratches on the edges of the case. Buttons are solid, wheel is perfect. I always use the holster and take care of it. I'm not too worried if something should happen - a BB is far cheapter than a Palm or iPaq.

If I fling it against the wall or clumsy enough to drop it frequently, I'm sure it will break. So would a Palm, Pocket PC, laptop, or a child under the age of 1.

I find my scroll wheel is getting loose and the speaker is weak. I hope it last for a while. Love the technology.

I love my phone... I've had it since they made it avaliable to us.... I'm a power user... lots of emails, lots of data, lots of calls... It's held up nicely. All these little hacks over the last few months have definitely made it better, too.
