I would like to be able to wirelessly transfer files (pics, etc...) to my laptop via Bluetooth......could anyone tell me how to do this?? I'm not an IT engineer, but I'm not a total newbie either; so.....yeah. any help would be schweet.
Ensure that the Bluetooth on your laptop is turned on and it is discoverable.
The on your BlackBerry go to Manage Connections, Set Up Bluetooth. Search for your computer and click on it when it appears, you will likely have to exchange passcodes etc.
Once they are paired you can progress onto the next step.
E.g for pictures; go to Media, Pictures, and browse to the picture you wish to send to your laptop. Scroll onto it and hit Menu Key, Send via Bluetooth. Select your computer in the resulting list of paired devices and click on it.
Accept the file transfer request on your computer to initiate the transfer, once it is complete the photo will be in the Recieved files folder or any variation of that, normally in your 'user's folder on the computer.
If you look on the laptop there should be a prompt asking for a pass key. It may be a tool tip popping out from the Bluetooth icon that needs clicked on.
Alternatively try and pair from the computer to the blackberry, usually right click on the bluetooth icon in the taskbar, and Search for devices. When you BB pops up double click on it to initiate pairing.
Sometimes I have a lot of pictures which I want to send at once to my laptop. Is this possible, cause the one by one method is not practical...
Be noted that I can't 'enter' my cellphone from my laptop. So going 'into' the cellphone and select the pictures I want and then copy them to the laptop is not possible.
For bigger transfers mass storage mode is probably more suitable.
If you still want a wireless alternative consider trying BlackBerry App World - Wifi File Transfer
Very fast and also allows you to browse the phone, I myself use it. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
