Default Software Question.

Please Login to Remove!

For reasons which will bore you (so I won't go there other than to say the root cause of all my problems were down to UK Orange) I have reluctantly returned my new BB-8900 from whence it came, and I am now desperately trying to get to grips with its replacement - an iPhone 3GS (and that ain't easy)

I did a BB back-up on my computer just before returning it to the store, and wonder whether there is any software known to man (or woman) which will enable me to access those back-up files.

Thanks in advance of any info in that regard.

Canteloube.

ABC Amber IPD Converter will extract the information from the IPD backup file... to an ASCII file, which can be imported to any database.

I highly recommend ABC's Blackberry software. You can export to many different file types, including CSV, Excel, and PDF.
I use this regularly to retrieve data from Blackberry devices at work.
And a bonus, the software is pretty cheap.

To: JS and JB....

Thank you again - that seemingly insurmountable problem has been solved.

The software you suggested is so easy that even an old dumbo like me managed to do the necessary.

All my precious data stored on my '8900' (which I thought was gone for ever) is now sitting on my desktop in folders ready to be copied into this (damned) iPhone 3GS. Thank God I did those backups!

Yes, I will now have to manually transfer the info (which will take hours and hours - but good practice for me on the new keyboard) but, hey, half a cake is better than no cake!
