Thanks for the software update! By the way.. I use black background with green yellow font color.

*** Suggestion: It would be nice to also be able to change the font color for the header text. We are able to change the header background color, but not the font so it doesn't work well if you select a black header background color with black font.

Fantastic upgrade to a must have app, if you use email (and i think you all do) then you need this.

Thanks for the feedback all!

In the next release I'll add in some more color pickers for header text and links. I think that should be do-able.

Great upgrade eZainny! This continues to be the most useful application for the BB I've ever seen. You solved the problem of the slow scrolling through full headers, as well as switching from space bar scrolling to trackball scrolling.

Yes...yes you are.

Just playing. I just like the plain white background with the black text. I am boring, I know.

If you are looking for new features to add, would love to have it work in the background to download all the images so that before I even open an email, everything is done and cached. No more waiting for images to load or to Retrieve More.

Don't know if that is even doable in a blackberry environment but it would be nice!

Hi, I actually have a very cool idea with how to make this work - it's something I've got planned for v3.

As far as the e-mail template, would that be the same function, we can use with auto text?

Auto Text is generally reserved for correcting common spelling mistakes, for providing shortcuts for longer words, for expanding acronyms to the full test, etc. The e-mail template allows you to create much longer text clips (i.e., paragraph(s)) that you often include in an e-mail message body including (just a few examples):

-- canned business responses to inquiries;
-- e-mail signature blocks;
-- your phone number;
-- home, business, or other common addresses;
-- etc.

The bottom line is that SmartSay significantly improves on the Auto Text feature that is built into the OS. When you find yourself copying/pasting the same text more than once, consider adding a SmartSay entry...

Great update, thanks!! I use the Lemon Chiffon background color with black text. Not very exciting, but easy on the eyes.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I use autotext the same way you use your smartsay. I have to assume this program makes the process either

Open the Messages (e-mail) application, but do not open a message. Open the menu, and it should be at the top.
