Please Login to Remove!

Hello all, this is my first post on BB Forums - hope some of you can help me out.

MY SITUATION:

- just got my Pearl 2 days ago - first BB for me

- I don't have a data plan YET

- running Mac OS X on a powerbook

- I managed to sync my contacts and calender using PocketMac (took a while, but finally worked)

MY QUESTIONS:

- can I browse the web without a data plan? (read something about Opera mini browser..)

- can I view any email (web based or pop) without a data plan?

- can I install themes without a data plan?

- can I do anything without a data plan? lol

- and finally, can someone recommend a good SLIM case?

Any help is MUCH appreciated !!!!!

I really like the BlackBerry Leather Pocket (click here). It's made of nice leather and doesn't add much bulk to the BlackBerry. It also helps it maintain it's professional and stylish appearance (unlike some other cases).

Any help is MUCH appreciated !!!!!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Some good cases by Fortte, and Vaja. You will need a data plan (a BB plan) to access email, web etc. Whether it is Cingular or TMO. I have the unlimited with VZW which is about $46 per month. If you are with TMO you will be in luck as they are much less. Without this plan you will be charged for every text and kb of data.

A blackberry without a data plan is a lot like a car without tires.

That's not true. It still makes a great PDA with phone and sms capabilities.

For the case you could always get a BSE skin. They dont add any bulk or thickness to the Pearl.

Case I would recommend the Seidio rubberized case and if you need a holster I'm sure the Seidio leather case works well too.
