Hmm...should I Get the 1GB or 2GB? At first I was leaning towards the 2, but 1 would probably be enough. Anyone know of any good deals for a 2GB microSD currently?

flash memory is all about the same quality. the better known brands are usually faster, but you only need speed for things like cameras that take video, or consecutive shots very fast. for the pearl, i cant imagine any flash card to be too slow- and, there is no risk of harming your phone. flash cards have an incredible reputation to be safe and reliable, regardless of the brand.

because 1gb cards are so cheap now, i think its best to just buy a couple of the 1 giggers. if you want to pay for the 2gb ones, of course do so, but i see no reason for it. mainly music i guess, a 2gb pearl is like a very basic ipod nano. also, i dont see any reason you couldnt just store extra 1gb cards underneath the battery door. a piece of sctoch tape would hold it to the battery in case the door pops off.

I recommend Corsair. Lifetime warranty, great customer support, great support forum and quick replacements. Oh and newegg all the way fast delivery.

I just received my SanDisk 2G MicroSD.. it was $58 with shipping online. They had 1G offered for $19. Came from some place called SuperMediaStore (on the label, although the web site had another name).

I have it in the phone, rebooted, and do not know how to check to see if it is bing recognized or if the entire 2G is available. What do I need to do?

found my answer... under Settings/Options/Advanced Options/ Media Card
It shows that I have 1.91G available... I assume that is what 2G should show as, if not it is close enough to 2G for me. I just checked, it was $58.97 including shipping, came USPS.. bought on Monday, arrived yesterday.

It looks over priced versus 2G in other flash packaging (thumb drives and mini), so I would expect the price to come down... especially if 4 and 8G is soon to arrive in a few months. 1G is only $18 so if that will do, I would wait.

I got a Kingston 1GB MicroSD card for $4 after rebate & $10 google checkout coupon at ecost.com a couple of weeks back. Looks like that deal is dead but I did find this:

Buy.com - Kingston 1GB microSD Secure Digital Card - SDC/1GB

$13 if you are a first time google check-out user or $23 if not.

I am having a difficult time justifying spending so much more on the 2GB when the 1GB is sooooo much cheaper.

Picked up a 2gb Sandisk MicroSD card on Sunday at CompUSA for $59.00. Good sale price, no rebate or anything. $59 at the register.
