Default Best Price For Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know what the best price for the Pearl is currently?

I'm on T-Mobile and they're telling me $250 with a 1 year contract extension (I'd only do a 1 year extension, not 2).

Default Try My T-Mobile

log in to My T-Mobile, there should be an option to "Upgrade your phone online" I did a couple of weeks ago for $149. Don't know if it is still available.

thats smart. i do 1-year contracts too, i dont mind the extra $50. you can try ebay, some sellers are offering free or 1 cent pearls with contracts, but i dont know the details or reliability of those guys. i agree its not quite a $250 phone for what it does. the physical shape and size make up for it though, i dont regret spending 250 on my pearl...

does that mean you have to trade your phone in? i wouldnt think that would be a deal, since pearls go for almost 300 on ebay

No trade-in necessary. Just a one-year contract. They send you the Pearl. I kept my 7100T as a back up phone.

By accepting this equipment discount, you agree that for a period of 181 days after your new line of service is activated, you

1. will pay your balance due to T-Mobile each month;
2. will not disconnect this T-Mobile line of service;
3. will not transfer this equipment to another T-Mobile line of service;
4. will not transfer an existing phone number from another T-Mobile account to this new line of service;
5. will not change your T-Mobile service rate plan to a lower monthly service rate;
6. will not use this new line of service to replace an existing account with T-Mobile.

I checked T-Mobile's site: they only offer it at $250 with a 2-year extension.

I think Amazon's deal is only good for new customers...I'm already an existing one :(

Any other suggestions?

I actually bought mine from costco. It's only 200 if you sign up for the data service. They even paid my activation fee since I was a new customer to t-mobile.

Correct, the deal from Amazon is only for new customers. I'm a new customer and I bought mine from Amazon for $50. This was before the rebate deal where you can get it for free :(

I'm sorry, I take that back. If you go to Amazon:

Amazon.com: BlackBerry 8100c Pearl (Cingular): Cell Phones & Service

You will notice a radio button on the right labelled "Upgrade (Existing Customer)". It seems you can get it for free if you are an existing customer.

BUT here are their terms:

Quote:
To qualify for a phone upgrade and contract extension:
You must be month-to-month in your existing contract with this
carrier, or you must be at least 10 months into your 12-month contract
or 22 months into your 24-month contract.
Your account must be in good financial standing and without late fees.
You agree to extend your contract 24 months from the end of your
existing contract.
You are not attempting to upgrade an entire, or any portion of, a family plan.
You are not a former AT&T TDMA subscriber now on Cingular's network.
Note: Eligibility results may vary based on a number of conditions,
such as usage history, payment record, and previous phone replacement.
Hope this helps someone.

You can always try samsclub.com. They had Cingular Pearls in there for $99 with a 2 year contract. So like someone else said its only $50 more for a one year. So once again making it $149. But like I said the $99 is for Cingular idk bout T-Mobile.

Does anyone know if T-Mobile has lowered the price from $250? I'm really hoping they can offer it again at $200.

Cingular is offering deals on the Pearl now, but I'm locked into a contract with T-Mobile so I can't switch carriers.

Have you looked at the T-Mobile website lately, they have both the Black and White Pearl for $150 after discount and rebates.

I checked Amazon's site. It looks like they're only offering the Pearl to new subscribers who establish a new contract, not existing ones.
