I hate it when they do that, Manny. Happened to me a few times. Geez...you got the package on the truck, gimme it!!

The good news is that it appears to be worth the wait.

Update: My battery was at 110% when I took it off the charger this morning. Amazing. This thing really rocks. It's like my new amp, which goes to 11.

There already is an extended battery for the 8100...Seidio sells it. See www.seidio.com and look at the 8100 section....

Saturday:

Off charger at 8:00 AM, 7:00 PM now, so 11 hours later...

Several phone calls, internet browsing, 10 or so emails read, two replied to, bluetooth stream music to headset for about 30 minutes, bluetooth stream internet radio for about 20 minutes, watch video about 30 minutes. (I leave BT on 24/7.) Played some games (Lingo - which is quite fun, and Backgammon.)

Currently at 65%.

Just a recap. Phone is typically on from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Pulled the phone of the charger at 6:00 am Wednesday, that day and Thursday were full work days as previously mentioned. Friday was a day off, so no bluetooth. Took about 15 minutes of calls, surfed a bit, and received another 50 emails, replying to 10. Saturday was a standby day, no calls, no surfing, and about 30 emails received. This is Sunday morning, left the phone on overnight, equating to 24 hrs standby. Battery: 10%

Nice marathon, Cruisin'.

Today (Sunday)...off charger at 8:00 AM, BT on all day as usual. Several phone calls, read about 10 emails of 15 received, replied to two. About 1 1/2 hours of audio playback, part streamed to BT headset, other part to car stereo during tedious afternoon of errands made borderline bearable by Coldplay, etc.

6:30, battery is at 85% (just flopped from 90% to 85% a few minutes ago).

Default Ordering issues w/seidio?

Has anyone experinced delays when ordering the Extended Battery for the 8130? I placed an order last Wednesday and have not heard a peep out of them. I even paid for expedited shipping and no order update as of 9PM tonight. I sent a request for info yesterday morning to their customer service and no response.

Should I be concerned?

Please email your order number to [email address] and I'll check on it for you.

I have that battery and that's about what I get, 4 days to 10%.

For those that are totally hung up on the minutae, I weighed the two batteries using a kitchen scale and the stock battery weighed in at 5/8 ounce or 19 grams while this extended battery weighed in at 3/4 ounce or 21 grams. In other words, you will never notice the difference in weight.

Funny...I just got a PM from someone over on Howard Forums on this. Thanks for weighing. I didn't notice any weight change at all when I switched (though I may have picked up a couple of pounds myself...

I got the same PM......that is what piqued my curiosity and made me go weigh the batteries.

I guess I'll have to weigh my Pearl fully "dressed" and see how much I'm carrying around. Maybe I can get credit on my workout schedule for additional "lifts."
