Please Login to Remove!

hey everyone,
need some advice. What is the best software out there for AIM (only oen i will be really using) I am looking for one that doesnt use text but just data so my data plan will cover all msgs with cingular. I want one that would work in the background and keep me online all the time.

Any suggestions before I purchase one?
thanks

Default aim messenger

I tried every one I could find. Each has it's good qualities, but reliability is most important. Many of them get disconnected a lot. I now use WebMessenger all day every day all around the world on my 8700g with T-Mobile service. It also works with ICQ, GoogleTalk and others. I should add that I liked Yak-On but it drained my battery after a few hours, even if I wasn't using it.

Is that service available through cingular and use data instead of txt msgs? thanks for your reply!
Edit: I guess more importantly does it give spam/spyware like some other applications i heard do. I did a good search and believe i found what you are talking about...
it is like 35 dollars a year?

Search a bit more, you'll find an OTA download link. You can use it with Cingular if you have a data plan. It does not use SMS credit, it uses data. You can install it and have it working in a few minutes without using a computer. It costs something but there is a free trial period before you have to pay.

I personally like Verichat the best, and I think I've tried all the major ones.
It uses data, not SMS.
The biggest problem is that you have to pay annual fee, other than that, it's great as far as I'm concerned.
