I had never used Opera or Opera Mini before I got this new beta 2 days ago. I'm really loving it!
I surfed awhile in Opera, and thought I could tell a difference in browsing speed, but I wasn't really convinced there was anything about Opera worth switching for
until I started playing with the settings and I set the font size to "small". (Menu > Tools > Settings > Font Size) Now I can see plenty of information on my screen, and the rendering is superb. That change made Opera Mini
by far the best browser I've used on a mobile device. I tend to visit pages with a ton of content, and it's sweet to be able to see the information on those pages without scrolling through 500 screens! I can tell I'll be surfing on the go a lot more now, instead of waiting until I can access a larger screen.
My only major complaint is that the 1,3,7,9 keys won't navigate you up and down the page in Opera. The trackball is OK for scrolling, but I find that it's much less efficient and exact. (Does anyone know any shortcut keys for top of page and bottom of page, BTW?)
