My Blackberry 8900 keeps getting a solid white screen after using it for 15 minutes or so (with a fully charged battery). I have to connect it to get it to turn back on. I feel this started happening after I upgraded to 5.0

I have tried a battery pull out on numerous occasions, but the phone will only work after the battery has been out for more than 30 minutes and it only stays on for about 5 minutes. I have to plug it in to get it to do turn on.

Did the device get wet? Did you drop it?

What else did you do just before this started, other than an upgrade to OS 5?

try the Leaked 8900 OS 5.0.0.1036. is pretty solid. I'm using it since it came out, no problems so far. Also, check what apps you may have installed recently, maybe you don't have to change/reload your OS.

My wife's 8900 did that all of the sudden after checking everything my brother in law checked the charging port it was starting to get loose and shorting out except her screen went black. Had the charging port resoldered and it worked fine

hi everybody. i have the same problem. i had try to wipe my phone but i cant do it as the way it is described. have any of you conect ur phone with a battery and the computer detect it. tell cuz my not and not even with charger without battery turn on. is that normal_?

Please do not write in "text speak". It is much too hard to read. If you use some punctuation and capitalization, you will get a much better response.

normal that is not wit the charger in the phone and battery. sense you post makes none plz try and again post this plz

ok sorry. here i go again. what i mean is. i was trying to do a nuked to my phone. but some one were telling me to put the battery out but without the battery.my computer dos not detect the phone so i cant do that. and the last question was. can the phone 8900 turn on with the charger plugged.? but without battery ?cuz my does not. thank you

^^ Yeah, it *needs* the battery to operate.

then when i conect my 8900 to the charger it does nothing. .. so i i cant do that nuke cuz everytime i conected to the computer it tell me the pin number and i saw around taht pull out the battery and then show unknow pin there i have to clikc next but not i cant do nothing witht out buttery. i upgrade it did alot thing but white screen yet.
now am trying to text it with a new screen.

i already try to reload with bb desktop manager, but that always ask for password, how can i know the password... thank u

Try To Take Apart Your BlackBerry 8900 To Reconnect The LCD Flex Cable. It Is Quite Possible That The LCD Flex Cable Clip Is Loose. It Is A Great Idea To Watch BlackBerry 8900 Take Apart Video From Youtube For Reference.
If It Still Can't Work, I Think A BlackBerry Curve 8900 LCD Replacement Is Needed.
