Default is there a new Pearl to be released?

Please Login to Remove!

What do you think that it can be the successor of the Pearl family?
Size wise (design) mainly?

You got the Pearl Flip.

It's rumored they may release and updated Pearl with a batter resolution screen with 3G/HSDPA speeds, but it is just a rumor at this point.

I've posted the RIM roadmap in many threads in this forum, just a few threads down to find it.

I wonder if the Pearl Flip will be offered by all carriers. So far AT&T only has the Pearl "2" which by the way is sold at the same price as the Curve.

The Pearl flip will be available next on Bell in Canada, for a CDMA version
8230 in pink and black coming to Bell in March | BlackBerryNews.com

And supposedly on VZW in the same time frame, not suire if maybe a little later.

Rumors are that ATT will get it (the 8210) soon also.

Hopefully VZW will get the ball rolling and pick it up quickly..

(I'm not a flip phone guy but I just want to see VZW work a bit quicker.)

Sprint CSR informed me (I didn't ask it was a scripted response when he saw I was on a Blackberry plan) that they should be getting the flip soon too.

I love my Pearl! and I wish they would put on support for 3G, video calling, GPS AND Wifi for the new Pearl wishful thinking? I certainly hope not.

I love my Pearl too. I would love to see a next generation Pearl with high res screen, faster processor and new OS.

I played with a Curve 8900 at the T-Mobile store yesterday. The browser is nice and fast even with EDGE. And the browser is very functional in the column view. That is important to me. The 8900 is a much more sleeker device than the 83xx series. Not sure if I could get used to the smaller keys on the full QWERTY keyboard though.

i'd definitely be interested in a new bb with suretype kb instead of full qwerty.

Default The new Pearl is called the Nokia E55

Definitely worth a try as I didn't like the 8900. Suretype keys have larger surface than full qwerty. Storm would have been an alternative but no GSM version with wifi yet, plus it's larger in size.

there has got to be something soon for ATT....they havent had a refresh of the suretype family in what...over a year? when ever the 8110 or what ever the last two digits were....

I am going to buy one as soon as one comes out...that is if it has 3g...if not I might end up getting something else....my 8100 is about to die.... :(

I'd really like to see RIM take another stab at the Pearl edition. The Pearl Flip fits it name properly. RIM has totally flipped their minds when they made this phone.
