One of our users has received about 30 ETP.DAT BB activation messages into his inbox.
I understand 1 or 2 are sent out while contacting the BB server

Is there a way for us to stop further ETP.DAT msgs from going 2 his Bb?

Actually, i 4got 2 mention,
i have asked him to delete the Desktop [CMIME] n Desktop [CICAL] service books. Lets see if that fixes it

Shud i resend Service books from BES 5.0.3 after this?

how are you sure about which device sends the activation messages ?

Everyone with a blackberry could try to activate his device using a wrong/mistyped address, the etp.dat message is sent to the email address you specify on the Blackberry.

Better send him the servicebooks again. because otherwise he will not be able to send email.

This guy is already recieving Emails/Contacts/Calendar, so i dont see the logic in him activating with his/somebody's Eamil

But, the only thing you know, (unless you know how to read whats inside the etp.dat file, which I do not), is, that a message arrived in somones mailbox. You dont know where it originates.

It could be me trying to activate my personal blackberry, but, accidentally try your email address instead because of a typo.

Also, if you try to install the older version of desktop manager, and choose blackberry redirector, you'll get a lot of etp messages.
