After one day:

Memory after installation of all my apps was at 30MB (normally 18~20). While using the device (serious addict) it dropped to 17MB. Previous releases stayed there or dropped more. This morning when I woke up I checked the memory and it was up to 29MB, so thats good!

Also the battery doesn't drop that much after a cold reboot.

After install App World is corrupt. Problem is, if I install software with the Desktop Manager it keeps re-installing the core files and thus corrupting App World. The first time I lost all app settings and My World was empty while the apps were installed. So I re-installed them using App World. Then after I installed something with the DM, App World was gone again. Re-installed it and now it kept all my settings. I hope this will be resolved when App World 1.1.0.34 is available...

Is Shazam working for you? When I opened it with that OS it just boots you back to the main screen.

I just downloaded Beta .554 a couple of days ago, which generally has been OK except for memory use. After a battery pull, left with 24 megs. Not sure if its the Linkedin software I installed which is the memory hog.
However, I have just downloaded .592 and will install this afternoon or tomorrow.

You always should get a big memory increase after installing a new OS, but 10 MB is pretty good. I wonder what the increase in memory is after a few weeks?

I'm very unhappy with this OS.. it locked up on my twice last night...

Seems like everything prior to OS5 worked flawless. The more updated OSs I load, the worse my phone gets... Anyone else feel like this?

Default Anyone with AT&T Let Me Know If This Build Works

I'm running 5.0.509 and it's pretty stable and fast. VisualVoicemail and all services running good. If anyone gets this running on the 9000 and has AT&T service let me know.

Regards,
Rob

I have issues with both this and the previous v5 release where the screen goes completely white and pixelated when it comes out of standby, then adds a load of coloured lines and eventually will show the real screen if I move the track pad about. Seems like a memory issue?

I haven't ran into a problem like that but something similar with the camera taking white pictures? I think that was discussed already too.

I'm thinking about just switching back to v4. I'm tired of being the guinea pig

Down to less than 10 MB on OS .554 in is less than 24 hours, from 24 MB. Haven't found time to install .592 yet, need to do soon, if just for better memory use (I hope)

I am still running .509 on Bold 9000 with AT&T and the only issue I see is the Camera taking "White" Pics? I'll need to search the thread for how to solve this little pain....
I would love to go to the .592 but may wait awhile.
For those having major issues: I went back to 4.6 Stock OS before moving to any new 5.0 OS. This solved every issue I had other than the "liitle stuff" that all of us are mentioning and fixing.......

Default xml file

part of my problem I had is I never could find the vendor.xml file to delete. I pasted the c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and nothing showed up.
