For anyone who is considering getting an AT&T Bold and unlocking it for use with T-Mobile, I would highly recommend it! I did it and I have absolutely no regrets. I love it!

Ok...that's what I wanted to know. You have to do the workaround to get the browser.

Yes, but it was ridiculously easy. Seriously though, it was well worth the money, even without 3G.

What's the difference between trying to get BES vs BIS to work on T-mobile network? I have BES and thought it was the same procedure as ptaylors for BIS except you register on BES after the service books have been received? Can someone elaborate a little as I have BES and should be getting my bold in a couple of days.

Default Mobile browser and mms on the bold using tmob usa

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet so I figured I would post it up because it is such a great find. I found (on one of the other websites) a way to add the mobile browser and mms to your bold while using tmobile usa on it. I am using it and it works great!!! Check it out.

I was actually told by my T-Mobile rep that T-Mobile was not going to be the first to get the Bold (which fits, since they are rarely the ones who bring a new phone out first). He told me that AT&T would have an exclusive for a period of time.

You know as a reader of this thread, I think that ALL should assume no Bold from TMobile until they say so. I am with TMobile and they told me they will not get the Bold 9xxx, but will look at the Javelins. Bold's are not coming to TMo, let it go!

Default 3g

Now that tmobile has the 3g system up and running do you think tmobile will release a BB9000?

There's no point, it doesn't support their 3g band.

Exactly. Tmobile in the UK has had the bold since about October I think.
And our 3G works ok with it. The only time I had it on, it dropped connection after about 30 minutes, but I never want to use it, so doesn't matter.

I hate to troll or thread crap, but why is thread even open still? It has far been established that T-Mobile will not be getting the Bold.. Ever.. Unless we want to make this an Unlocked Bold on T-Mobile troubleshooting thread. Just my $ 0.02.

i did not take the time to read thru this entire thread and a search didn't bring up much for me, sorry in advance if i'm asking the same question thats been asked before:

is the "Bold" series (not necessarily the 9000 model number) ever going to be available for T-Mobile US 3G networks ? i hear alot of ppl and web sites that have said 'tmo will never get the bold', then i heard 'tmo will never get the 9000'....etc....

furthermore, will there be a future release of the bold with the 1700MHz frequency added in addition to the existing 1900/2100 it currently supports ?

i think this phone is very impressive and i'd love to have one, but considering any plan i'd choose with at&t is going to cost me at least 10-15 bucks more a month for 10-15% less minutes/messages/etc. than what i've currently got ($80/mo. covers 1000 mins/1000 sms + blackberry unlimited add-on).
the way they priced these plans between tmo and at&t and the phone selection makes it difficult to choose.

my tmo agreement is up in July, from then on it's month-to-month.

thanks all
