buy screen protectors, I already purchased 10 sets for $10 on ebay, and I already have my black silicone protector sleeve, all I need now is the BOLD

Hard to beat the Invisible Shield. Now if RIM could just keep the dust from getting inside the housing, my screen would be perfect.

Buy Invisible Shield or Best Skins Ever and NOTHING ELSE. Those are the best screen protectors that you'll ever find and once you put it on, you'll never have to replace.

I think the key to the OP's question is protection for the Bold.

i dont really agree, as full body protectors go these are the best skins around.

i prefer something like screen patronus over the front. clarity is miles ahead of these skins. whilest these seem to be impenetrable, i find the peely look takes away from the clarity a bit.

The problem with the invisible shield is it's a pain to put on. I am too OCD to get it perfect. Also, the bold has the faux leather back...that may not work too well with a full body shield.

I'm interested in otterbox defender case, but that will the Bold huge.

Still deciding between Bold and iPhone 3g.

Zagg offers an Invisible Shield right now for the Bold. I'm not sure about BSE. How are these responses not applicable?

The problem with putting the shield on is the fact that many people do it wrong. You've got to really wet the back of the skin to get it in place and you'll never have problems getting it straight and bubble free. Just remember to wipe down your Bold real good to make sure it doesn't get to wet. I've put the invisible skin on an 8310, 8820, iPod Touch, iPhone 3G, Creative Zen, Creative Zen Vision and have never had an issue getting it installed, and it really, really protects.

No protection (for 1.5 years) and only 2 minor/little scratches ... Screen protectors only serves when having a touch screen to my opinion

Unless you keep your BB in your pocket like many people do. I took off my screen protector on my 8820 and within 3 days of in and out of my front pocket, I had several small scratches on my screen.

I like the screen protectors from BoxWave, especially the anti-glare one. If you get it on correctly the first time, you will never, ever have to mess with it again.

I have been using Blackberry devices for years now, many devices and never scratched a screen. Use the OEM Leather belt clip.

I run mine naked. With the leather sleeve that comes with the Curve and mine looks great minus the usual battery cover scratches. But I will have a screen protector for the Bold just because everyone is saying how gorgeous it is.

Default Scratch free screen

I have a 8100 in the OEM leather slide-in sleeve. It is in my pants pocket every day for the last 20 months with keys and change, and the plastic screen looks as new as the day I bought it.
I'll get the same sleeve for my Bold if AT&T ever gets them.
