Default Sending from multiple addresses

Please Login to Remove!

I now have email up and running on my new Curve 8320

Before my next question, a brief explanation of my email....

I have about 10 email addresses I use regularly, all of which are forwarded to a BT Internet account. Spamcop then picks this up using POP3 and filters the mail, and then forwards to another (very secret!) address which I collect the mail from. This is the account my BB gets mail from.

On the BB, is it possible to set up an accounts to purely send from? So I can then choose the appropriate one before I send the message. There would be no need to CHECK these accounts for mail ever, as they'd be nothing there (it's fowarded to BT then Spamcop...), but I'd like to be able to send from the addresses.

I hope that's clear - any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed Ludlow

On the BlackBerry if you set up an account on your device, it is capable of both sending and receiving. You can setup filters on those accounts so that all new mail is NOT forwarded to the device. These filters are done on an account basis, and are not global. So you could set up a filter for [email address] that says it doesnt receive new mail, but can send, whereas [email address] will be your catch all email, and it checks, on the server end, mail from [email address]

Thanks, S_A. Looks like I need to go and have a play with filters.

Will report back.

that will give you the basics. Instead of blocking anything sent FROM you, just have it block anything sent TO you.
