Default Is there a way to disable Voice Dialing?

Please Login to Remove!

I leave the Bluetooth power on my BB ON. When I turn on the power to my headset, like when I get in the car, etc., it automatically connects and then goes right to Voice Dialing.

Is there a way to disable Voice Dialing for whenever I power up my headset? It really is quite annoying to have to deal with and I couldn't find anything in Options to do this.

Thanks!

Do you want to completely remove it?

If so the steps are in here:

I don't think you can disable it but you can remove it.

Read through this... http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html

My wife uses a BT headset and also keps BT on but doesn;t have this issue. It sounds like a headset issue not a voice dial issue. As for disabling VAD no, as stated above if you want to go through the process you can delete it, but it does affect a few other things when you remove it, so remove it only if you can deal with the issue it might bring.

Under Options, go to Voice Dialing. Choice Lists. Select Always Off.

Edit -- never mind. That doesn't seem to do it.

Interesting... never had this problem with my BT headsets and handsfree kits. Does sound like an issue with the BT device.

VAD turns on when I connect my Jabra 250 headset. It prompts me for a command. Doesn't do that with a Moto headset.
