You can use our Telnet & SSH client:
Rove - Products - Mobile SSH

I see Rove has posted which is great, but of course for end users who don't like forking out the cash for their simple, personal needs that's not the best option. I am currently (sucessfully!) using the latest development version of MidPSSH 1.7.3 which includes initial Wifi connection support as well.

OTA install to your device: http://xk72.com/wap/ (email that to your BlackBerry)

Choose latest devel version (the OTA installs were fixed by me ;) ) and then the appropriate BB download. For most users these days it will be one of these two links directly:

OS 4.x BIS people: http://xk72.com/midpssh/v1.7.3/midpssh-bb-midp2-ota.jad
OS 4.x BES Only people: http://xk72.com/midpssh/v1.7.3/midpssh-bb-e-midp2-ota.jad

Web page: http://www.xk72.com/midpssh/

On my 8320 device I use the font setting "LCD 5x9" and set the default mode to 'SSH2' (these are not the defaults, and are the only two settings I change that matter). After connecting to a server, use Menu -> Input to interactively input on the commandline instead of an input window popping up on your device. The servers I connect to are all OpenSSH oriented, so your results may vary if you're connecting to WinSSHD or some other type of daemon.

This actually belongs in the Aftermarket forum in my opinion. $0.02.

midpssh has a few bugs that will probably be fixed soon now that its in active development. (thanks rivviepop!) until then, your better off paying for the rove mobile client.

midp insist on ssh2. ssh 1 has a glaring design flaw and anyone in the middle can degrade the protocol to 1 to exploit it. the ssh2-only lite build didnt install on my bb(8320), but might on yours.

it takes your password, *THEN* connects without giving you a chance to check and refuse the host key (but it does tell you the host key so at least you know if youve been had)

it doesnt cache the host key.

it doesnt let you set a nonstandard port

rove will let you import an ssh key, in midpssh you generate it, but then have to log in with a password to install it (or at least log in somewhere to cat it out to a file and move it to where you want it) you cant password protect it, but the blackberry has built in data encryption and device locking.

midpssh lets you have an 80 character across terminal which rove mobiles client cant because it wont let you set a small enough font and insists on showing a scroll bar on the side even when you disable it. roves client can scroll horizontally, but thats annoying.

roves client also doubles as a serial console over bluetooth.

The Rove Mobile SSH product does let you set a terminal of 80 characters across without scrolling. Simply set the Font size to "Small (5)" then set lines of scroll back to 0 (to force the scrollbar to be off), then set the Columns to 80.

Just want to put in a good word for midpSSH also. It may be J2ME instead of a native BB app, but the latest BB build (1.7.3) has WiFi support. I've not tried it without service books installed, but it does connect using WiFi even when the cellular radio is off.
