Default Battery drain caused by MSN Messenger

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BlackBerry Bold, and recently I've been noticing on my BB 9000 that the 2 arrows on the upper right corner of the screen, the ones that denote sending and receiving data are always on, and this cause my battery to last less that a half a day without heavy use, just inside the holster.

I've tried everything, and discover that when y sign out my MSN Messenger the BB stop sending and receiving data.

After doing that my battery lasts up to 4 days in stand by.

Does anyone have the same result with MSN Messenger?

Nope, I leave mine on all the time and no battery issues. Maybe try reinstalling the current OS. Or evene before that, as im sure you might have already done but try a couple battery pulls.

Wirelessly posted

It could also be if one of your contacts on MSN has that silly auto picture change feature which changes the picture frequently, that causes your BlackBerry to constantly transfer data.

Try turning of the images and see if the issue continues.

Or it could be another app running in the background.

I've had something similar happen to me...so I rolled back to a previous OS and all seems to be working fine for me. No harm in trying that.
