Is it normal to have to charge my phone twice in one day? I work 3rd shift and when I sleep in the mornings, I charge it for about 6hrs, then later that night at work around 2 or 3 in the morning my battery is almost dead so I charge for 45mins or so to last the reat of the night. And I use it alot!!! Is this normal?

If you are a heavy user then it may be normal for you to have to charge it twice. Can you describe a normal usage day for your phone? I know long phone calls can drain the battery, as well as leaving processes running in the background.

I too have the 8330 and I'm in the same boat, I charge it whenever I can because the battery life is terrible. I'm on my 3rd device/3rd battery so it's not the device or battery, these devices just eat juice.

Get the Seidio extended (2600mAhr, not the 1500) battery. It's worth every cent.

CDMA phones tend to use up more battery than GSM phones though a bigger player in battery drainage will be your signal strength. The device has to work harder especially if its trying to maintain and connect to a weak signal (1-2 bars).

Also, cehck to see if you have unnecessary programs running in the background. That can use up battery needlessly. (Check by pressing ALT+the escape key).

That could be the key answer right there. When I'm at work, I get a VERY weak signal inside the plant and that could be why the battery gets drained so fast.
