Default No Tasks in Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All! Just got my 9850 and am really digging it though there are few things that are bugging me. One of them is the tasks app. I would love to have it integrated in the calendar and according to the options I clicked the box saying "Show tasks in Calendar" and they're still not there. What gives?
Thanks!!

The tasks need a completed date to show up. Also, web tasks set in google and such do not sync as far as I am aware. Only ones that will show are ones that are manually entered into the device app. These will show on the default calendar.

Check your last post to see how to set that

They have dates assigned to them but still aren't showing up.

Any thoughts?

Did you try a hard reset (i.e. battery pull with the power on, for 30+ seconds)?

I just tried the pull. No dice.

Here's something interesting.

I entered in a new task with a due date that had already passed. Boom!! It showed up right away!

hmmmm....

So why do I have all these tasks in the task app sitting there, and none of them in my regular calendar?

Weird...Is this sometype of account thing maybe?

I don't know. You might do some experienting. Do you have a lot of tasks? What I'm thinking is you could try changing one of your existing tasks, save it, see if it now appears in the calendar view, and then change it back and save again. If that fixes the problem, then repeat for your other existing tasks.

Another idea, and I'm just speculating, is you could wipe out your calendar and task data bases with desktop manager, and then either do a selective restore from a backup, or re-sync if you sync with Outlook or something, or restore from BlackBerry Protect if you use it.

Hmmm... I like the idea. Where are the databases in the desktop manager located?

Time to experiment!

Thanks!

I didn't delete anything yet, but I did manage to get tasks to show up, the only problem is that they only show up on the day they start, not as a list (not sure what I expected different). Anyway, I think I may look to some PIM App to integrate it all together.

Thanks!!
