Default Help to restore address book after OS upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

I have just upgrade my BB 7730 OS from 3.7 to 4.02. Prior to that, I use the desktop manager to backup all my message and address book. After the upgrade is completed, I tried to restore all my address book back to the Handheld, however, the restore function not able to restore the address book, all the rest works. Tried the Adanced function to selectively restore the database, it clearly shows the address book been has entry but on the handhelp side screen, the address book is gray out.
Would appreciate if can offer some suggestion to help to restore all my address book. Thanks in advanced.

regards,
YL Low

if you have the contacts in Outlook, you could just sync them over.

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the address book in my Outlook contact.

After testing, managed to restore my entire address book from my backup copy. Below are the steps I have done.

1. On the Handheld select option and disable the Wireless Synchronization.
2. Go to BB Desktop software, select advance, selectively restore the address book.

Apparently, the address book restoration is disable when the Wireless Synchronization option is "Yes".

Default Glad you got it to work.

This is a good lesson for all. Not enough BB users do a backup.
