Default Error using Camcard

Please Login to Remove!

Saw a review of Camcard in the newspaper so figured I would demo the trial. Unfortunately, when I start the program, I get the following error: 'net.rim.device.api.ui.container.gridfieldmanager' not found. Any ideas

Sounds like maybe the app was compiled for OS6.0, and you are running some lower OS level.

Go back to the developer for a version that is compatible with your device.

Thanks but bought it through appworld which (I think) is only supposed to let me buy compatible software and site says compatible with all devices.

Doesn't mean that the developer didn't accidentally post the wrong version.

GridFieldManager was added in 6.0. If you run an applicaiton built on 6.0 on an older devcie (like 5.0), you will get this error.

At any rate, you should go back to the developer. Nobody here can fix the code for you.

Here is another tidbit: someone just posted a "known issue" report on the BB Developer site that some later versions of 5.0, which were supposed to have this GridFiedlManager class, were shipped without it.

Consequently, you may need to update your BB OS level (once the update is released).

Or...you might be able to use an older build of the same program. Again, check with the developer of the app.
