Incidentally, a search Google for "BlackBerry log getAllEmailAddresses" returns 8 hits (one of which is this forum post, and most of which concern Outlook Express programming) which makes me suspect whether such a thing exists.

But, regardless, I can assure you that CardStar doesn't gather email addresses.

I have no idea what stores use an image scanner? does anyone here have an idea? is there anywhere this application can be used? cvs, giant, safeway, rite-aid?

I've tried it w/o a screen protector and it still doesn't work. Tried both the stores and the airport (had a boarding pass barcode emailed to me) and neither would work. The TSA folks said they've never had it work with the BB. Only the iPhone. Hopefully down the road...

I've gotten it to work at the airport and at Modell's but not Best Buy. Not sure what the difference is. Only use clear screen protector from ScreenPatronus

Its a great idea but, unfortunately, due to the BB display its not realy practical for BB users.

Maybe because the resolution on my 8330 is lower than your 9700 series you may of had some success I don't know for sure but it just doesn't seem practical yet. I'm sure as new models come out with higher res screens, the issue maybe a thing of the past.
