Default Twitter for Blackberry by RIM available

Please Login to Remove!

I did a search and couldn't find a thread regarding this so I decided to start one.

I downloaded Twitter for the Blackberry (by RIM) yesterday and I like it. For me, I preferred it over Ubertwitter so I uninstalled Ubertwitter from my Bold 9700.

It was one of the featured applications within my Blackberry App World as well as one of the Top free applications within the App World which is how I knew that it was available.

Strange, I can't select the app with PocketDay Keymappings or BBSmart shortcuts. Twitter isn't shown on the app list. Other users with the same experience?

Do a battery pull and see if that fixes it.

I did a pull, but no fix. I have a icon on the BB desktop, but other apps like mentioned, can't select Twitter.

Does anyone seem to have a huge memory leak when using this app? After a batter pull, I am at about 43 meg free, and after using Twitter, I am at about 30-32 meg free.

Yes. There is still a lag that the device seems to fight. My guess is that the leak is more diminished from this second release as I assume, based on your location, that you were exposed to beta 1

Can't say I've seen much of memory leak with the app so far, and I've doing a bit more tweeting this weekend then normal.

The does app does lag a bit if I try to tweet a few things right after each other and the prior tweet is still sending.

Running 1.0.0.37

There is a t-shirt out with that on it. I Photochopped our CIO's head onto it.

I tend to incur several lockups with this app. Unlike the last version. My hope is that RIM will continue to develop it.
