My 7105t is a sentimental favorite of mine. It's a dinosaur but I love it. I keep it as a backup device and as a pre-paid phone (without data services). Great battery life, great texting.

A friend wants an old BlackBerry to get is feet wet with just the basics of BlackBerry. Push email is his main concern. He has a fascination with my old 7105t and wants to buy or borrow it.

It's been so long since I've had GSM service and even longer since I fired up the old girl so I really don't remember if this model could do wireless Google calendar and contacts sync. Can it?

Google Contacts Sync requires handheld OS 5.0.0.284 or later.
Google Calendar Sync requires handheld OS 5.0.0.176 or later.

The Google Sync app might work on the handheld.

Thanks. I'll clue him in on what to try. My T-Mo SIM card is a pre-paid one, ergo no BlackBerry data. It's on my buddy to find solutions to any issues that may arise.
