I voted for the Small Icons, call me old fashioned, but having the classic look is so much faster for me.

I like the look of the small icons but a couple things bugged me enough to switch to the O2 theme with the water drop background. The 2 MAJOR issues I had with the small icons theme were:

1) No missed call icon when you miss a phone call.
2) No voice mail waiting icon when you have a voicemail waiting.

To a lesser extent, the white strip at the top of the home screen is extremely annoying. Why is it there in the first place?

Well I must say... I am not opposed to the T-Mobile Theme... I've had my 7100t since the very beginning, and it’s probably one of the first devices produced. I thought the very UNIX-ie ICONS we a massive improvement over the old 72xx colors icons. After awhile it did become aggravating that other picture backgrounds don’t seem to work well with the tmobile theme; the one they chose seems to be the only one that visually works well.

Currently I use the RIM List Theme (hacked up quite a bit... I don't recommend doing this to others trying this unless you a programmer). I find between the two of them RIM List seems to be the most stable. I also find it to be the most adaptive to personal background pictures...

O2, Voda and Small icons are just plain crap in my eyes…

Just my thoughts...

An update to BBV4.0 from the T-Mobile website put a Photo Album icon in my Applications folder. This enables you to change the background to one of the provided .jpg files. I'm sure there is a way to get your own .jpg in there and use it but I've had my 7100t for about a week now and I'm still learning the device. Search the forums, there seems to be a lot of good info here.

All in all, I'm very impressed with it even if it is my "corporate tether".

Default Traditional Style

Has there been any progress on the "traditional" small icons theme with the calculator issue. I am leaning towards it but I live with the calculator so it won't fly. Also, what are the chances someone could figure out how to accomodate "moving" applications in the O2 theme with the Alt - trackwheel? Thanks.

Is there any way to fix the shortcut error you get when you try to use the calculator with the small icons theme? I really like that theme, but I do use the calc quite a bit, so it kind of sucks...

Default O2 comes out tops me thinks!

Many thanks to those who explained the .alx file and how to use the desktop loader to get the themes on my 7100v.

I've used the 02 theme with a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy logo background image and its come out nice!

Thanks again for an excellent forum.

Default Vodafone Theme

I actually like the Vodafone theme, even though my service is with Cingular....good bright colors, but the other post is right, it could be organized a bit better.

Anyone find a good third party site of themes yet?

Yes, please post a link to that background. I have found ones to download but they leave white borders.

Ack! I rejected O2 only because I hated the background image! We have a new winner! O2 theme, DesertDunes.jpg background (until I find an image I'd rather use), BBCasual font 8pt.

http://www.actuacine.net/Poster/hitchhikers.jpg is where it appears to have come from.

Attached is the image cropped the way I like it with O2. E-mail it to your BB, save and set as wallpaper from the "Pictures" app.

ocman and spblat.
Forgive the stupidity but I cannot get the hitchhikers cropped image into my BB. I save the image on my desktop and then email it to my bb email addy. But when I open the message on my BB, there is no "open attachment" option. Please help.

Default Hitchikers Background

I'll post a link to my website with hitchhikers backgrounds available to download on wednesday for all those who asked.

I've 3 different ones so I'll zip them up.

Cheers
