Playbook announced for tis April I've heard

I'm so disappointed with RIM for not confirming a release date. When the CEO's are cornered they say Q1.

Are things in bad shape? Rumours are now growing the Ipad 2 is out in March.

I'm getting tired now of waiting.....

Q1 allows them to make sure that if they have any issues they can be worked out. Nothing worse than promising Feb 15th, then having to hold back a month because of some bug, or other issues.

April seems to be the expected date for a US release, which means May for Canada.

We will see as it gets closer, we've already seen the Best Buy and Office Depot training lists.

Q1 I thought meant by March. I guess Q1 means piss everyone off who has been waiting for the playbook, allow the competition to copy your specs, allow apple to market a product that will need updating in 6 months but will sell like crazy, bring out more and more demos and agreements with EA etc.

I must say time should mean something to RIM but if they are "perfecting" the device then kudos and we will keep waiting for Q1 to appear sometime in Q2.

Q1 I believe refers to RIM's Q1 which begins March and ends in May. Their fiscal calendar year runs March to February and their quarters are based on that.

I am tired of waiting. I'm off to get an IPAD as soon as I can get my hands on one. RIM is missing the boat on making people wait. As of this morning Apple anounced a 750,000 units sold with a 3 to 4 week back log on orders. This thing as only been on the market 3 days. I love using my BB products but I like to get going and cannot wait any longer.

I saw a TV ad over the weekend from The Source (Canada's successor to Radio Shack) promoting a number of wireless products, including the Playbook, with a note that the Playbook would be available in April.

It will get here when it gets here, not a second sooner. I just hope it will live up to all the hype.
