I'm proud that this device was designed, developed, and manufactured in Canada. The death of RIM has been exaggerated every year since it's inception, yet the BlackBerry continues to thrive in the corporate and now consumer markets with the Pearl.
Mexico here! I'm hoping there is no difference where it was made - mines works great so far so good.
I don't think there is much difference between devices assembled in Mexico or Canada, although some have reported a different keyboard "feel" on the Mexican Pearls. Only time will tell if there are differences in build quality and reliability, although RIM has strict quality control for these handsets. I'm sure they're not willing to take a gamble on a product that is really deciding the future of the company. Glad you're enjoying your Pearl!
