My original was Canada, my replacement is from Mexico. The Mexican one has a nicer keyboard feel, tactile I think it's called.

My Pearl was made in Canada which makes sense since I'm living in Canada and RIM's head office is in Waterloo, Ontario.

Why does it matter? Does it vibrate differently? (Hey, I am not sure where it was made, but I do know were it resides!... )
Edit: OMG, I think mine was made in the White House: Do you think it is rigged?

doesn't really matter the assembly procedure is exactly the same, and they are all checked and shipped from Canada.

I'm proud that this device was designed, developed, and manufactured in Canada. The death of RIM has been exaggerated every year since it's inception, yet the BlackBerry continues to thrive in the corporate and now consumer markets with the Pearl.

Mine's made in Canada, hey. My 7105t was a beaner-phone, made in Mexico. I feel I can say this in jest, seeing how I'm a beaner myself.

Made in Canada. I'm only a 20 minute drive from Canada so that makes me feel better.

I don't think there is much difference between devices assembled in Mexico or Canada, although some have reported a different keyboard "feel" on the Mexican Pearls. Only time will tell if there are differences in build quality and reliability, although RIM has strict quality control for these handsets. I'm sure they're not willing to take a gamble on a product that is really deciding the future of the company. Glad you're enjoying your Pearl!
