Zen Help Please
Please Login to Remove!
I sucessfully installed the Zen theme for Telstra last night. No errors and instructions were great! Upon complete I was expecting to see my icons listed to the right hand side of homescreen as other zen sceen shots I've seen. Much to my disappointment all my icons are on the home screen like previous OS? Did I do something wrong? Can anyone help me please?

Hello There.
I'm newish to BB but not new to cracking software and I have a couple followup questions:
1. If I do a software upgrade (to a diff carrier's version), will I loose all my contacts on the BB messinger?
2. WIll I have to go through enterprise activation?
3. I can't seem to tell which version of software I'll need in order to get the much talked about Zen theme. (I have an 8703e)
4.I understand I'll need to upgrade the software and then download the theme. Is that correct?
5. Have oter users tried this process onthe 8703e and been successful? It's so new, I do't want to miss any important steps.
Thanks for your time all.

If you do this upgrade do you have to re-install any of the third party software? Do all of your Profiles such as ringtones etc stay the same as well?
Thanks!

When I did it, I did not have to reinstall any 3rd party software, as I upgraded the OS it reinstalled them for me.
And it kept all my contacts and ringtones.

oh yeah, about the previous posts about upgrading and noticing Signal or Volume changes:
I upgraded to the Bharti OS, and now in my house I always get 3 or 4 bars, always EDGE.
Before, on the T-Mobile OS, inside my house I would always get 1 to 3 bars, almost always GPRS. I used to only get EDGE when I went outside.
I have been testing this for several days now.
This OS has definitely made 2 significant changes:
1. My volume is louder (I had to reset the volume levels on my profiles because they were now TOO loud), and
2. My reception inside my house is better.
So for those of you who are noticing these same changes after upgrading, it's not your imagination.

Until RIM makes a desktop software for mac, you're out of luck. Hopefully pocket mac will make this option available in future releases.

NEWBIE QUESTION (YES, I have SEARCHED)...
I'm having a unique problem that seems not to appear anywhere. My phone works fine and I wanted the Zen theme, so I followed ALL of the instructions given (to the letter)...when the desktop manager begins the update, it gets FROZEN on "Wait for device initialization"...
it's been this way for like 2 hours...I'm afraid to unplug. SOMEBODY HELP!!!
