I just got this phone yesterday and no matter what I do I can scroll down, side to side but I can't scroll up! I just had the phone replaced thanks to a bad software update and I really don't want to replace it again.

I've pulled the battery and it'll work for a little while then it's back to not working.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Do you carry it in your pocket? Most likely there is lint or dirt clogging one of the contacts. Turn the device off. Press and hold the trackball and roll first in the direction of the problem and then roll it in all directions for a minute or so. Turn the device back on and it should work. You can also spray some "canned" air around the ball while pressing it down. Will help clean it.

Once you get it working, carry it in the pouch, not in your pocket.

No I don't carry it in my pocket. I keep it on the clip and like I said earlier the phone is brand new. I just got it yesterday after the one I got in December died with Saturday's software update.

Now... Off to see if either of those links help me.

I really didn't expect it to be dirt! It's strange that after only one day it had some sort of invisible dirt in it. I've kept it on the phone clip the whole time and haven't put it in my pocket. I noticed the trackball was sticking almost immediately after getting it home.
