I setup my 9700 to use UMA on Rogers. Is there a way to get it to flip back to EDGE or even 3G when UMA is not available. Right now it just gets no service and I have to go into the dev screens and hit that radio on/off to get it back.


I've looked in the forums and there are many different posts about what options to pick on that screen when it comes to the enable/disable options. Is there any confirmed settings it should be?

In options/mobile network, do you have settings for connection preference? And iff you do, are you setting it to wifi only? If so, set it to wifi preferred.

Someone please pin me i cant get the uma up i have bell branded 9700 with mped unlocked yet engineering menu doesnt show anywhere

You cannot get UMA on a device branded to a different carrier. Even if you managed to get into the engineering screens (requires special codes) I don't think Fido offers UMA service.
