Hello all,

I recently got a Blackberry Curve 8320 from Tmobile. It was free so I might as well take it right?

Well I was used to AIM on my RAZR and because of that I bought unlimited text messaging.

As I do not want to pay for data, is there any applications I can put on my Blackberry to instant message (Using AIM) by only using text messages? I turned off all data on my Blackberry.

You may be able to find the OZ messenger....it used sms. You'll need the feature enabler added by TMo, though in order to login.

I am completely lost I barely understood what you said in the post. Lol ok I called Tmobile they said something about how they enabled my number for Blackberry and Tzones of something.

Where do I get this OZ Messenger from?

Unfortunately the link to get the .jad file must be accessed over the BB browser therefore using data, so if you were to use it, TMO will probably charge you per KB for that session, but you would get the OZ messenger.

edit: doing a GOOGLE search, I found this: http://www.t-mobileapps.com/download...tMessaging.jad

However, it shows the link as "pearl" so I'm not sure if the .jad is the same, probably not.

Try this:

I downloaded the .jad and all the .cod files from the above link. Download the new attached zip file. Extract it and put the contents into a folder (name it Oz) on your SD card. Then use Media >Explore to browse to the .jad file. You *should* be able to install it that way.

The above files appear to be for the Pearl. However, other thann screen formatting it appears to work.

Hmm the problem is I don't have an SD card and I don't believe it came with one. However, I did some previous searching on the forum and did find the .JAD file but when I tried to load it with the software that came with my phone (Application loader?), I got an error message.

Is there any other way? I cannot access WiFi either as I guess my WRG54T router with PSK encryption isn't suitable for this phone.

.alx added to the .zip file. You should be able to load with Desktop Manager now.

Hmm okay, before I got my phone enabled it would freeze at 20%. However, now it goes to 80% and says receiving buddies at the bottom and then says there is a communications error. This is after I got confirmation my phone was feature enabled by Tmobile.
