I have had moderate success getting my new 8820 to work with wifi browsing.
Now the question is how to start push email. Speaking with in store & over the phone CS from AT&T, RIM, and reading this (page 6 chart, http://na.blackberry.com/eng/ataglan...Via_Wi-Fi.pdf). You should be able to use AT&T / RIM BIS over wifi with NO data package... However I am unable to get this started... I know everyone says you need it, but this graph from RIM and talking with RIM both say you don't... And yes I've read the FAQ and understand that... I just don't see where we are all going wrong.

You cannot get email and many of the native BB apps that require data without a BB data plan.
