Sorry, I use Firefox. Been tempted to try IE7 though. It's brand new, as you know, so there still could be some issues with how pages load from different servers and what not. How is it otherwise?

Ixxx8217;m not experiencing any lag with Maxthon v1.5.8. I tried to like Firefox but it kept freezing and crashing.

The ie7's tabs i really like but that is where is stops. I'll dig a little deeper and see if maybe it's just the new settings/features.

It tries to stop everything.

It won't surprise me if it does lag.

The program is bigger and can do more things. So if your computer is slow than yes, IE7 will slow everything down.

One advantage Firefox have is, it's a smaller program and does not hog the computer. So using Firefox is slightly faster than using IE7.

You can tell by just checking the file size. If you download Firefox, it's less than 6 MB. If you dowload IE7, I believe it's more than 15 MB. I am not sure since I stop using IE long time ago.

FireFox 2.0 is drastically better then 1.5x. even if it does crash, it will restore all pages and text you type just as you left it. also has built-in spell check, but i think maxthon does now too.

btw, firefox is more bloated then IE. at least it uses a LOT more memory. maxthon is nice because it uses basically no memory
