When ever I am using the BlackBerry speakers and I am listening to a song and then I open the Brickbreker game, the music seems to pause at 23 seconds. This has never happened before and I am wondering if there is a reason for this?

Sounds like memory.
Make sure all of your other apps are closed and not just hiding in the background. You can check which apps are open by clicking alt-esc.
